What a week it’s been! I want to start by thanking everyone who has already purchased a copy of Risen from Ashes. Thanks to you, it broke into the Top 20 in three categories yesterday and, as I write this, is still in the Top 30 in two of those categories and Top 40 in a third. That’s a pretty good opening for any indie book but for one that had as many bumps in the road as Risen did, it’s a damned great opening couple of days.
Because of the delay in publishing Risen, I had to push back the release of Nocturnal Prey, a short story set in the Nocturnal Lives universe. The story will be a bridge of sorts between the original story arc and the new one. It is now up for pre-order and, yes, the final files are loaded up and ready to go live the last day of the month. I am not running any risks with this pre-order. The official release date is March 31st.
Two years ago, Mackenzie Santos’ nightmare became reality. The world learned shapeshifters really do exist. Since then, Mac has worked hard to do her duty as a cop, as an alpha and as a mother. Now those duties all come spiraling together as she becomes the hunted. If she isn’t careful, not only will her life be forfeit but so will the lives of her daughter and all those she cares for.
