Catching up

The silence in here has been deafening but necessary. Life has been “interesting” of late. I finally had to take a mental health break just to keep from tossing my laptop against the wall–something I really didn’t want to do since I had to replace one laptop last week and completely reinstall Win 10 (and then all my programs) on the other. Oh, and let’s not forget my cellphone deciding it needed to be replaced as well. So, to whoever sent the gremlins to stay at my house, fair warning. They are on their way back to you with instructions not to return. 😉

But that doesn’t mean I haven’t been busy. I have been. Writing. Finding a new copy editor. Dealing with the business end of the profession.

Basically, doing what I can to keep my head above water and still make sure I cover the everyday demands on my time as well. Living with an aging parent means additional requirements that must be met–something I welcome. She was always there for me when I needed her. It is only fair I be there for her.

This is just a quick check-in to let you guys know I haven’t dropped off the face of the Earth. I’ll get back to regular blogging next week–knock on wood. In the meantime, the featured image is a reminder that Danger Foretold, the next installment in the Eerie Side of the Tracks series comes out next month.

  1. Sent up a little prayer.

Like the old saint story goes– “Lord, I know you won’t send more than I can handle. But MUST you have such faith in me?”

    You can do this. 😀
