Heaven help us

While I won’t usually go into politics, consider this my primal scream after yesterday’s primary elections. WTF were people thinking? Because too many couldn’t bother to stir out of their houses to vote, we now have folks who will waltz into office running nothing but smear campaigns. Not once did these candidates say what they would do if elected and how they planned to do it. Instead they spent thousands and thousands of dollars to smear their opponents. Worse, at least one of them did his best to physically and verbally intimidate those who weren’t supporting him — including candidates on the city level. Now these are the folks going to Austin to represent us. And folks wonder why I am jaded on politics.
